Gregory Steven Barczak was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend

whose larger than-life personality, generous heart, and love for his family left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Greg grew up in West Allis, Wisconsin, and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1968. He continued his education, earning a degree in social work at the University of

Wisconsin at Milwaukee, and later pursued his Master’s in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University. His ambition, determination, and natural ability to connect with people led him to a successful career in sales, spending the majority of his professional life as a sales consultant for Genentech, Inc. pharmaceutical company.

Never one to shy away from a new adventure, Greg later followed his entrepreneurial spirit and opened The Painted Parrot Caribbean Club and Restaurant and 88 Keys Piano Martini Lounge. More than just a business, these establishments became household names in the greater Milwaukee area and a place where friendships were formed, stories were shared, and countless memories were made. Greg brought his enthusiasm, personality, and love of people to the establishment until the closing in 2015.

Throughout his life, Greg had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome, appreciated, and loved. Whether through his work, his friendships, or his family, he approached life with passion, humor, and a genuine interest in those around him. Above all, Greg treasured his family and the time spent making memories with those he loved.

Greg will be remembered for his infectious enthusiasm, quick wit, generous spirit, and, most importantly, the tremendous love he had for his family. He was a man who felt deeply, loved wholeheartedly, and found joy in bringing people together. His presence could fill a room, his laughter could brighten a day, and the memories he created will continue to bring smiles to those who knew him.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Barczak; his children, Drew (Agoritsa “Renee”) Barczak and Leslie (Paul) Cimermancic; and his cherished grandchildren, Elleanna, Nikko, Alessandra, and Aubrey; his brother Gary Barczak (Annette), sister-in-law Mary Jane Barczak as well as many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his stepchildren, Jesse (Amber) Ball and Matt (Sarah) Ball, and stepgrandchildren, Mackenzie, Teddy and Lauren. Greg was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Steven and Eleanor Barczak, and his brother, Russ Barczak.
