Waushara County Food Pantry welcomes new Executive Director

The Waushara County Food Pantry, Inc. is pleased to welcome Tyler Weston as their new Executive Director. After a total of four years, two as Executive Director, Nate Knight has made the decision to retire. Knight made major improvements to the pantry in his tenure, spearheading a large renovation project to improve functionality of the pantry’s primary operating space and streamlining pantry operations to reduce waste and focus resources on the pantry mission.
“We (the board) are thankful for Nate Knight serving as our Executive Director and we wish him the very best in retirement. He has done an outstanding job organizing the pantry and the volunteers. Nate has been mentoring Tyler Weston, Pantry Assistant, since November and the board believes thanks to Nate’s guidance, the transition will be a smooth one. Tyler Weston has many talents and his dedication to the pantry operation is invaluable,” said Waushara County Food Pantry, Inc. Board President Mary Kunasch.
Tyler Weston joined the Waushara County Food Pantry, Inc. team as Assistant Director in November of 2024 and has been working alongside the Board of Directors to strengthen the pantry’s fundraising and community outreach efforts.
“I am thrilled at this opportunity to work more closely with the board and our wonderful volunteers to continue supporting folks struggling with food insecurity in our community,” Weston said of his new position. “The issue of food accessibility is one that I take to heart and I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and putting in the work to ensure we are serving Waushara County as effectively as possible.”
