TCWR Volunteers gearing up for annual craft and bake sale

Posted

If you go to the ThedaCare-Wild Rose (TCWR) Conference Room on a Tuesday morning, you will see a group of ladies who are having a great time creating lovely crafts and enjoying each other’s company. The crafters meet from February through October, all to get ready for their Annual Craft/Bake Sale & Raffle. Members also sew and create items at home. Loyalty to this group and the TCWR Volunteers is so great that former members who have moved still donate for the effort. Past president Sue Dowling has sent two gorgeous queen-sized quilts for raffle prizes, plus numerous crafts - this year alone!
The items are also sold in the Hutch, the hospital gift shop, open Monday through Fridays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. and Mondays 1 – 4 p.m.
This year’s sale will be Saturday, Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Wild Rose United Methodist Church, 225 Summit Street, Wild Rose. It will feature baked goods, local honey and maple syrup, crafts, and a basket raffle. The (separate) advance-sale raffle will feature two quilts, a framed original watercolor painting, assorted artworks and multiple cash prizes. Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance at the Hutch or from members.
All proceeds go to the TCWRV scholarship program for healthcare-related careers.
