Structure fire at River's Bend Resort

On July 21, at approximately 3:59 p.m., the Marquette County Dispatch Center received a report of a structure fire at River's Bend Resort on Fox Lane in the Town of Montello.

Multiple first responders were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, responders encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. Multiple fire departments responded to assist with fire suppression and other operations at the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Marquette County Sheriff's Office and the Montello Fire Department. The property owners are cooperating fully with investigators and assisting with the ongoing investigation.
