Lady Eagles win nail biter 54-47 against Adams-Friendship

Posted
The Lady Eagles walked into their Jan. 3 game with a shorter roster than they typically enjoy as two players were out sick for the evening, however they were determined not to let that slow them down and battled their way to a 10 point lead in the first half. The Adams-Friendship Lady Devils were not of a mindset to be easily defeated however and battled their way back in the second half, keeping the game within just a few points until the very end.

Junior Forward Mya Dernbach seemed to take the close match as a personal challenge and absolutely thrived under the pressure to deliver a double-double, accounting for nearly half of the Lady Eagles points with 26 and collecting 14 rebounds. Aaliyah Newby added 7 each of points, rebounds, and assists with 3 steals. Riya Ceballos added 7 points of her own and Maddy Potts logged 6. Junior Guard Emalee Petrick got the call to start in place of an ill teammate and rose to the challenge with 4 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals.

You can catch the Lady Eagles in action at home again on Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. when they’ll host Roseholt for their fourth conference game of the season.
