The Wautoma Boys Basketball team played a non-conference game with the Randolph Rockets on Jan. 20.
Randolph jumped out an early lead as cold shooting plagued the Hornets. Wautoma battled, but Randolph was able to build a 35-18 lead at the half. The Hornets came out with some fight in the second and played close to even as the Rockets were able to get the win 70-52.
Wautoma was led in scoring by Junior Skyler Royston with 18 points. Senior Taylor Krueger added 7 points, while sophomores Peyton Pica and Grant Kulibert each chipped in 6 points. Rounding out the scoring for the Hornets was sophomore Marshel Woyak and Carson Rose with 5 each. The Hornets were led in rebounding by Royston with 8 and also had 4 steals.
