According to Wautoma Fire Department Lieutenant Steven Mike, Wautoma responded to a camper fire south of County Road YY on Highway 73. The 24-foot travel trailer was a complete loss and the cause of the fire is still unknown.

According to Redgranite Fire Chief Kyle Tarr, on May 17, at approximately 5:47 p.m., the Waushara County Sheriff’s Department dispatch received a phone call of a structure fire at 207 Franklin Street, in the Village of Redgranite.

Wautoma’s Alex Brown was tagged out as he attempted to make it back to second in the 6-2 Hornet victory over the Nekoosa Papermakers on May 26 in the first round of regional play.

The Wautoma Hornets baseball team rallied late in the game to secure an opening round Regional victory, 6-2, versus the visiting conference foe Nekoosa Papermakers.
