This 22” x 24” Easter decoration, hand-painted on an old screen window by Mississippi artist Beverly Barnes, will be included in the auction at the annual Habitat for Humanity “Swing Into Spring” fundraising event on March 8 at Camp Lakota, near Wautoma.

Yoga class offered at Neshkoro Community Center

The Neshkoro Area Community Center will be able to continue chair yoga. Cathy Favelle, owner of CoreQuest Yoga in Wautoma, has been a certified chair yoga instructor for many years and agreed to host classes at the community center beginning in March.

Conservation Field Day 2014 logo contest

Waushara County Land Conservation Department will be looking to Waushara County high school students, or equivalent home schooled students, to help design a logo for the annual conservation field day event.  A 1-3 color design may be entered in the competition (suitable for a T-shirt), which concisely portrays the conservation youth education event.

Silvercryst to hold Polar Plunge Feb. 16

The Silvercryst, Hwy. 21 East, Wautoma will be hosting a polar plunge on Silver Lake Sunday, Feb.16 to benefit the Wautoma Fire Department’s Water Operations/Dive Team.

Plainfield Fire Department to battle hunger Feb. 28

Plainfield’s Assistant Fire Chief Dan Miller and firefighter Chad Weis will be spending 24 hours on the roof of the CITGO Plainfield Travel Plaza beginning at Noon on Feb. 28.
