Garbage totes approved by Neshkoro Village Board

David Tellock of Advanced Disposal addressed the Neshkoro Village Board at their March 3 meeting to propose the use of 95 gallon garbage totes for weekly collection. The board approved the use of the totes, which will be provided to village residents later this spring at no charge.

 
City gives "go ahead" on water tower project

At the March 10 Wautoma City Council meeting, the city approved a contract with MSA Professionals to administer the city water tower’s specifications/bidding and construction contract administration for $11,600, and possibly construction oversight for an additional cost, for sandblasting and repainting the city’s water tower. MSA engineer/representative told the council that if all goes as planned the project would begin in June and be completed by September.

At the office we get calls on photo opportunities and I am always grateful that people take the time to call.  The photo ideas range from a lake photo, an unusual flower, vegetables, wildlife, and the list goes on and on.  In the 46 years I have been here I leave the office to take a suggested photo and on my ride out I always vision how I can take the photo, what will make the  photo unique.

CHN-Berlin Memorial Hospital hosts Books Are Fun sale

Books Are Fun, a national sales company, will arrive on the campus of Berlin Memorial Hospital for a two-day sale event. Sale hours will be March 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and March 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will be held in the main lobby entrance of Berlin Memorial Hospital. This sale is open to the public and an incredible variety of books and gifts will be available at hugely discounted prices.

Wild Rose Lions Club donates to the Wild Rose Area Fire District
