Waushara County Board unanimously re-elects Donna Kalata as chairman

The first Waushara County Board of Supervisors meeting after the spring election was held on April 15. Waushara County Circuit Court Judge Guy Dutcher swore in the newly elected members.

 
No change in EMS service in county, committee continues to look at options

During the public comments at the Waushara County Board of Supervisors meeting held on Feb. 18 in the county board room at the Waushara County Courthouse, Ruth Zouski, Corporation Counsel, addressed the Emergency Medical Services.  Zouski said that no doubt the supervisors had received calls and comments on the EMS.  She said that the committee is looking at options and has made no decisions on eliminating EMS/ambulance service.  They continue to gather information.

 
All Wautoma School students to receive free breakfast and lunch in 2014-15

The Wautoma School Board approved the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which will offer free school meals to every student in the district without collecting household applications at their regular meeting held at Redgranite Elementary on April 14.

 
Wautoma City Council approves demolishing of Gables building

The City of Wautoma Common Council held a special meeting on Jan. 28 to discuss appropriate action regarding the Gables building, currently residing on the property next to the World War II Memorial.
