David Tellock of Advanced Disposal addressed the Neshkoro Village Board at their March 3 meeting to propose the use of 95 gallon garbage totes for weekly collection. The board approved the use of the totes, which will be provided to village residents later this spring at no charge.

 
City gives "go ahead" on water tower project Print E-mail

At the March 10 Wautoma City Council meeting, the city approved a contract with MSA Professionals to administer the city water tower’s specifications/bidding and construction contract administration for $11,600, and possibly construction oversight for an additional cost, for sandblasting and repainting the city’s water tower. MSA engineer/representative told the council that if all goes as planned the project would begin in June and be completed by September.

 
Coloma Board approves permit for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Print E-mail

At the Coloma Village Board meeting on Feb. 27 Mission Builders of the Lutheran Church requested that campers and trailers be at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. They are building an addition to the entrance of the church, a canopy, and additional room.

 
No change in EMS service in county, committee continues to look at options Print E-mail

During the public comments at the Waushara County Board of Supervisors meeting held on Feb. 18 in the county board room at the Waushara County Courthouse, Ruth Zouski, Corporation Counsel, addressed the Emergency Medical Services.  Zouski said that no doubt the supervisors had received calls and comments on the EMS.  She said that the committee is looking at options and has made no decisions on eliminating EMS/ambulance service.  They continue to gather information.
