The Wild Rose and Wautoma Family Dollar stores held a donation drive at their stores where customers were able to donate laundry detergent throughout the month of March to the Waushara County Food Pantry. The Family Dollar stores will continue in April with a food drive.

Students’ tobacco use mirrors societal trends with a phenomenal reduction over 20 years in data collected through the biennial Youth Risk Behavior Survey. Student cigarette smoking dropped from 32 percent in 1993 to 12 percent reported in the 2013 survey.

Following two years of lake studies, the Waushara County Lakes Project will begin drafting lake management plans (LMPs) for Big Hills and Napowan Lakes at the first of four monthly public meetings on Thursday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Waushara County Courthouse Demo Room.
