The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced Jan. 21 that a new online application system is in place for veterans who are requesting a duplicate driver license or identification card with a “VETERAN” identifier.

To help support families, every first Friday of the month parents (couples, singles, grandparents) are invited to drop off their children (3 months-Jr. High) at Grace United Methodist Church, Wautoma for free childcare. The service is provided from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and parents are able to enjoy some time as a couple or for themselves.

The hall known as Saint James Place located at Saint James Catholic Church, Neshkoro, was filled with veterans and area residents on Feb. 3. The gathering was for the annual honoring of four heroic individuals who sacrificed their lives during World War II so others would live.
