GLAAS plans to use the money to help fund an addition to the shelter for customer programs and cat space.

The Green Lake Area Animal Shelter (GLAAS) was recently awarded a $20,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to fund capital building expenses. 

The Wild Rose girls’ volleyball team celebrated their victory against Rosholt immediately following the conference championship clinching point. Wild Rose defeated Rosholt 3 -1 (16-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-19) on Oct. 14 to secure their first conference championship in 26 years.

It ended with an exclamation point. Ladycat Senior Karlie Brzezinski hammered the ball home, off of a set from senior Emily Jirik, for the final point of the match, and just like that the drought was over. The Wild Rose Ladycats won their first volleyball Central Wisconsin Conference-10 championship in 26 years on Oct.

Three Wildcat defenders stopped Williams Bay’s Branden O’Laughlin for short yardage early in the second quarter of the Oct. 17 football game. The Wildcats went on to defeat the Bulldogs 35-14 in the final home game of the regular season.
