The Woman-Minskey American Legion Auxiliary Unit 317, Wautoma, honored seventeen ladies for their 20 or more continuous years of membership in the American Legion Auxiliary. Some of the ladies were members of various Auxiliary Units prior to coming to Wautoma and joining Unit 317.

Shannnon Sachs, Plainfield, and her horse, Happy, race for the finish line of the Jr. Poles event at the Barrels for Bryanna benefit held at the Waushara County Fairgrounds on Sept. 18. Sachs placed second in Junior Barrels, Junior Flags and Junior Plug and third in Open Flags.

The members of Two Oaks Ladies League, Wautoma, held their year-end banquet at Moose Inn, Wautoma, on Sept. 15. Awards were presented by League President Barb Standke for first place in the Championship flights.

A special visitor attended the Sept. 17 Classic Car Show held in Wild Rose, Juraj Plaza, Slovakia, is an exchange student at Oshkosh and took a close look under the hood of his host mother, Carol Kaufman’s 1971 Ford Grand Torino which was displayed for all to see while in Wild Rose.

The Wautoma area fire, EMS and police departments held 11 minutes of silence as they lined Main Street in Wautoma on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. in remembrance of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
