Neshkoro Zion Lutheran Church celebrates Rally Day

Subhead

Rally Day was celebrated recently by the Neshkoro Zion Lutheran Church congregation.  This is an all-congregation event commemorating the beginning of the Sunday School year.  With the celebration held at the Village of Neshkoro North Park (Stan-O-Gene park), this was an engaging opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while participating in a worship service on the theme of creation, the first Sunday School topic of the year.

Sunday School Teachers were installed during the service and exciting changes involving the Sunday School curriculum were announced.  A potluck picnic with a cookout followed the service.   A children’s nature walked through the beautiful pine woods trails followed lunch.

This Rally Day celebration in large part was inspired by Zion’s new Pastor John Bumgardner and his family.  Pastor Bumgardner and his family, wife Rebecca and daughter Lynnea, come from Red Lake Falls, MN.  A good time was had by the adults and children in attendance.  Zion Lutheran Church plans to do similar events in the future.
