Wautoma Kiwanis holds ribbon cutting for new library playground equipment

Subhead

The Wautoma Kiwanis held a ribbon cutting for the new playground equipment located next to the Wautoma Public Library on May 27. The club has been making plans for the new equipment for over a year. With many fundraising efforts and community support it was possible to bring the upgrade to the park area. It was much needed as the old equipment was around 25 years old. The Wautoma Kiwanis provided all of the equipment, the Wautoma Library Board provided benches and a bike rack, and the city helped dig out the old equipment. In attendance at the ribbon cutting were: (front) Hannah Klusmeyer, Wautoma Public Library Director and Wautoma Kiwanis Member, Tommy Bohler, City Manager and Wautoma Kiwanis Member, Christine Brown, Wautoma Kiwanis President, Barb Struzynski, Club Secretary, and Gary Christensen; (second row): Carol King, Sandy Bartels, Cindy Reilly and to the far right Marge Schilling; (back row): Roger Charette, Bob Howard, Kathy Studebaker, Mike Hoch, Arden Pomplum, Peter Braatz, Jeff Nett and Leon Schilling.
