It seems like this pandemic has prompted Waushara County and Wisconsin to cancel most of the events that normally are held in the summer months for residents and visitors to enjoy. It has canceled the Waushara County Fair and the 4-H members who have purchased animals for their project approximately a year ago have worked diligently with them to prepare to show them and sell them at the Junior Livestock Auction. When the fair was canceled the exhibitors had to find a different avenue. Laura Buechner is very involved in the show and auction and has three 4-H members with animals. She reached out to John Obrien of Obrien Auction LLC in Fond du Lac and he agreed to put the auction online for Waushara 4-H and waive all fees. All monies earned from the auction will go directly to the exhibitor.

This is where supporters of the Waushara County Livestock Auction come in – this is where you can make a difference. Support these exhibitors with your bid – you will get a great deal on an animal that will fill your freezer, feed your family, and you will make the exhibitor realize that all their hard work and dedication has paid off. Today’s pandemic has families preparing more meals and buying more meats and this is a great way to support our local 4-H youth and in return enjoy meat on your table.
