ThedaCare-Wild Rose Volunteers recognize scholarship recipients

The members of ThedaCare-Wild Rose Volun-teers were delighted to return to in-person meetings with their annual Scholarship Luncheon on June 10 at the Wild Rose Lion’s Building. Recipients of the TCWR Volunteers scholarships and their family members were the honored guests.  Adhering to COVID-19 safety precautions, each guest was served a delicious bagged lunch prepared by Main Street Station.

President Rose Morrow greeted all in attendance and awarded the scholarships, given to candidates who are pursuing a career in healthcare.  The recipients are

Taylor Adair (Wautoma HS), attending UW-Oshkosh for Nursing - $1000 Scholarship

Juleanna Johnson (Wautoma HS), attending Fox Valley Technical College for Nursing - $1,000 Edith Meyer Scholarship

 

Dalene Sherburn (Wild Rose HS), attending UW-Stevens Point for Speech/Language Pathology - $1,000 Scholarship   

Cody Atkinson and Danielle Meyer - Both are currently employed full time as nurses and are attending Marian University for the Family Nurse Practitioner degree. - $1500 Scholarships

Ways and Means Chair Mary Kusche announced two events at Party on the Pond, July 24.  The volunteers will host a bake sale at the Lion’s Club building, alongside the Lion’s annual breakfast.  The group will also participate in the vendor fair in the parking lot of Carpet Craftsmen.  This will be an opportunity for those who miss the Hutch to purchase handmade items and other treasures.

 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there is no date set for the reopening of the hospital gift shop.
