Wild Rose Knit-Wits offer free knit hats

Posted

The “Keep Wild Rose Warm Project” by the Wild Rose Knit-Wits have placed free winter hats at various locations in Wild Rose for anyone needing a winter hat. All knit by hand, the hats are available at the Wild Rose Ice Rink, the Wild Rose Historical Society on Main St. (hanging from the sign), and at the Library/Community Center in the Foyer.
“We just love to knit and wanted to keep giving to the community,” commented Jen Przkeurat, adding “We have knit lap robes for the Veterans at King, little Afghans for the Happy Joes, Mittens for the school children, and now we have the Keep Wild Rose Warm Project, where we have knit hats of different colors and sizes so the whole family can have a free hat to keep themselves warm!”
The Knit-Wits will keep the hats full while they have hats knit, so it’s first-come, first-served! The Knit-Wits meet at the Patterson Memorial Library in Wild Rose every Thursday (except Holidays and Snow Days), from 1-3 p.m. Newcomers are encouraged to come, and the group has both knitters and crocheters. They are also happy to teach you to knit!
Join the Knit-Wits, learn to knit, enjoy great company, and create things for yourself and others! The Patterson Memorial Library is located at 500 Division St., Wild Rose, WI 54984. For more information, call the librarians at 920-622-3835.
