Beth (Aaralyn Woolsey), who usually is nervous to face conflict, befriends Mr. Laurence (Aiden Young). After being reminded of his granddaughter, he sends Beth the little piano his granddaughter had once owned.
Marmee (Madeline Zimmerman) must leave her daughters behind after receiving news that their father was injured while serving as a chaplain in the Civil War.
