Waushara County investigating welfare check death

Sheriff Wally Zuehlke issued the following statement after officers discovered a deceased individual during a welfare check.
On March 8, around 7:45 p.m., the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Town of Mount Morris for a welfare check. Upon arrival, a female was located deceased by Deputies.
This is an ongoing investigation. Updates may be given as additional information is able to be released.
There are no threats to the community in regard to this incident.
