Tri-County Penguins couldn’t get past the visiting Westfield Pioneers in Jan. 19 boys basketball action. It was a well matched game, but the Pioneers would walk away with the 62 -55 victory.
Westfield managed to get an early start to their scoring, racking up a 13-point lead. Seth Hildebrandt would open up Tri-County scoring with a 3-pointer. This led off a scoring spree for the Penguins, closing the lead to only 2-points. From here the scoring would be kept pretty even, but Pioneer defense would overtake the Penguins for the win.
The Pioneers racked up a team total of 34 rebounds, 14 assists, 8 steals, and 1 block.
The Penguins ended their night with 30 rebounds, 9 assists, 6 steals, and 3 blocks.
