What looked like a Westfield Lady Pioneers hands down win leading the first half turned around quickly in the second during a girls basketball matchup against the Waupun Lady Warriors.
It seemed both teams were not communicating plays very well, keeping the scoring low with several turnovers in the first half. Lady Pioneers kept the lead 15-9 going into the second half.
The second half found the Pioneers quickly losing their drive, as the Lady Warriors gained ground with steals and 3-pointers. By the 10 minutes left mark it was a tied game. From that point on the Warriors still had trouble finding the basket but held their ground on keeping the Pioneers down with incomplete passing, steals and fouls.
Waupun took the win at 31 to 24.
Westfield ended up with a team total of 39 rebounds, 10 steals, 6 assists, and 4 blocks.
