On Aug. 29 at 12:11 p.m. the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a call of a semi vs car on 5th Ave at Archer Ave in the Town of Plainfield.
During the investigation of the crash it appears the car was E/B on Archer Ave approaching 5th Ave and failed to stop at the stop sign. The semi was S/B on 5th Ave and struck the car. The semi driver had attempted to avoid the collision and in doing so the semi overturned onto its side.
The driver of the car, Christopher L. Burns 43 from Hancock, WI was pronounced deceased on scene by the Medical Examiner after Plainfield Fire Dept/Rescue and Waushara EMS attempted life saving measures. The driver of the semi, Daljit Singh did not sustain any injuries.
