Scoring big on local lakes for the WRK Fisheree

Local fishermen scored big on local lakes for the We Really Kare (WRK) Fisheree on Feb. 7. Participants got out on the ice on any of the 12 lakes that WRK supports for a chance to win a cash prize in the Big Fish Contest during the other fisheree events at the Wild Rose Lions Club.
Winners included:
Walleye: First - Eliase Bauer, 29” walleye on Long Lake.
Bass: First – Mark Warzynski, 18 1/2 “ bass on Wilson Lake; Second – Gilbert Steppianes, 17 ½” bass on Mt. Morris Lake; and Third - Donnie Schade, 15 ½” bass on Little Silver Lake.
Northern: First – Nolan Buchaklian, 29” northern on Mt. Morris Lake; Second – Gilbert Steppianes, 24 ¾” northern on Mt. Morris Lake; and Third – Conner Prezkurat, 22 1/2” northern on Long Lake.

Bluegill: First – Spencer Gutschow, 10” bluegill on Round Lake; Second - Eliase Bauer, 8 ¾ bluegill on Long Lake (turned in at 2:20 p.m.); and Third – Dan Trapp, 8 3/4 “ bluegill on Kusel Lake (turned in at 2:22 p.m.)
Perch: First – Craig Nyback, 10 ¼” perch on Round Lake; Second and Third – Spencer Gutschow, two 10” perch on Round Lake.
Crappie: First – Henry Doering, 13” crappie on Big Hills Lake; Second – Logan Soerens, 9 ¾” crappie on Little Silver Lake; and Third - Tim Wood, 9” crappie on Big Hills Lake.
Bullhead: First – Charles Schafer, 13” bullhead on Kusel Lake.
Small-Mouth Bass: First – Bryce Kreski, 17 1/2 “ small-mouth bass on Long Lake.
