Pioneers lose their grip against Bulldogs

The Westfield Pioneer Boys hosted the Pardeeville Bulldogs in an action-packed night on the basketball court on Dec. 8, facing a 67-79 loss.
Pioneers were first on the scoreboard against the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs had the height advantage, pressing against the Pioneers right up to the end of the first half. The half ended with a score 24-30, with the Bulldogs pulling ahead in a more coordinated effort.
The second half found the Pioneers had to start relying on 3-pointers and one player to trying to stay even with the Bulldogs, which proved to be too much. The game ended with a Pardeeville win 79 over an exhausted Pioneer team at 67 points.
High scorer for the Pioneers were Senior Austin Lyon for 47, Junior Ethan Kind at 8, followed by Senior Treyton Roos with 5.
