Miller’s Hillside Pub rallies community support for Tunnels to Towers

Posted

For several years, Miller’s Hillside Pub has brought the community together in support of a meaningful cause, hosting a heartfelt fundraiser benefiting the Tunnels to Towers Foundation. This year’s event once again featured a popular bags tournament, a quilt raffle, live music, food specials, and multiple raffles that kept attendees engaged throughout the day.
The annual gathering has become a staple in the area, drawing residents and visitors alike who are eager to support the mission while enjoying a day of fellowship and entertainment. From friendly competition on the bags boards to the excitement of raffle drawings, the event continues to grow in both participation and impact each year.
A standout contribution came from the American Legion Post 343 Auxiliary, which donated a substantial assortment of homemade baked goods. The baked sale proved to be a major success, with all proceeds directly benefiting Tunnels to Towers.
The Tunnels to Towers Foundation honors the legacy of firefighter Stephen Siller, who lost his life on September 11, 2001. The organization provides mortgage-free homes to families of fallen first responders and military service members, builds specially adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans, and supports programs that aid those who have sacrificed in service to the country. Funds raised through local events like the one at Miller’s Hillside Pub help ensure these efforts continue nationwide.
Miller’s Hillside Pub is also well known for its ongoing support of local emergency service agencies. Through various fundraisers and community partnerships, the establishment has consistently given back to those who serve and protect the area. A permanent display of the Missing Man Table inside the pub serves as a powerful and visible reminder of those who are missing or have made the ultimate sacrifice, reinforcing the pub’s deep commitment to honoring service members and first responders.
With another successful year in the books, Miller’s Hillside Pub and its supporters continue to demonstrate how a small-town gathering can make a meaningful difference, combining community spirit with a shared purpose to give back.
