Local scouts team up for community wide book drive

Local Cub Scouts from Pack 3650 and Troop 680 are teaming up to collect donations for Wild Rose Days.
The annual Wild Rose Day celebration, happening July 24- 25, is proudly dedicating its 2026 theme to local author Jerry Apps: Hometown storyteller - Jerry Apps. To celebrate this theme, the local Scouts are launching a community wide book drive. The scouts are collecting new and gently used books to distribute to youth attendees during the festival. Please consider donating to help inspire the next generation of hometown storytellers.
Donations can be dropped off at the Wild Rose Community Center, Wild Rose Lions club during bingo, What the Snark, Wild Rose Food trucks on Tuesdays or by contacting leader Amanda Jalensky (715-492-2017) to arrange a scout to pickup donations.
