The Wautoma Lady Hornets fell just short, 2-3, to the Winnebago Lutheran Academy Lady Vikings on Oct. 14 at Wautoma High School.
The Lady Hornets ended their night with scores of 25-18, 13-25, 20-25, 25-15, and 11-15.
Brynlee Vaughan took control of the Hornet court with 30 assists and 8 digs. Lady Hornet Senior Aspen Groskreutz also topped the night with 10 kills, 13 digs, and 2 ace serves. Laynie Vaughan had 13 kills, 11 digs, and 5 solo blocks by the end of the night.
Wautoma ends their regular volleyball season with a 18-15 overall record and a 3-4 conference record in the South Central Conference. The team will be facing off in the WIAA playoffs for a chance at a Regional Championship title.
