Eagles extend win streak against Spencer Rockets

Posted
The Almond-Bancroft Eagles extended their win streak to 7 with a 60-36 victory against the Spencer Rockets on Jan. 2. The game stayed close for the first half, with the Eagles leading by six as the second half began. From there they pulled away quickly, more than doubling the Rockets second half score 33-15. The Eagles showcased their diversity of offensive weapons in this game with three players scoring in double digits.

Brody Dernbach was a force to be reckoned with and logged a double-double, scoring 23 points with a 76% shooting average and crashing the boards for 10 rebounds. Ayden Phillips had a relatively quiet night, which still means a double-double for the lauded forward, scoring 13 points and bringing down 15 rebounds in the evening. Clarence Pratt followed closely with 12 points and Davis Dernbach added another 8.

You can catch the Eagles at home next on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 7:15 p.m. when they’ll host Wabeno-Laona as part of a double header with the Lady Eagles Varsity squad playing first at 5:45 p.m.
