Black Hawk Folk Society proudly presents Eric Lewis, a Memphis-based singer-songwriter in concert this Saturday, September 13 in Mt. Morris Town Park. The afternoon begins with an optional potluck at 1 p.m. followed by Eric’s performance at 2 p.m.
Eric Lewis, a superbly talented and award-winning multi-instrumentalist, grew up surrounded by music, with a banjo playing grandfather and a singer-songwriter mother! He is acclaimed for his mastery of guitar, dobro, steel guitar, mandolin, and more. He delights audiences with folk, swing, bluegrass, country, and rock music, whether performing solo or providing back-up for other musicians. His widespread, eclectic musical knowledge makes him a regular on the teacher, composer, arranger, and producer route, as well. To sample Eric’s music or learn more about him, please visit his Facebook page, Eric Lewis Music.
Mt. Morris Town Park is a beautiful setting for concerts. It is handicap friendly, with plenty of free, on-site parking. Please bring lawn chairs and anything else you require to enjoy an outdoor concert! Per park policy, no pets allowed.
Eric’s performance will wrap up this summer’s concert in the park series, with a return to Mountain View Community Center on October 11 with music by Crowes Pasture at 7 p.m. (preceded by a potluck at 6 and Black Hawk’s annual meeting at 6:30 p.m.).
