Activities galore at Augustfest downtown Wautoma on Aug. 9

Plans are set to bring a variety of activities for all ages to Augustfest 2025 in Wautoma on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wautoma Library Park and the WWII Memorial Building. Chippy Express from Evergreen Campsites & Resorts, Wild Rose, will provide a shuttle service from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from the Wautoma High School to the WWII Memorial.
Start your day off with some delicious Amish donuts made and served by Sunrise Bakery inside the WWII Memorial Building with a cup of coffee from the American Legion Auxiliary booth. Also, the Auxiliary has some of the best sloppy joe sandwiches for lunch.
After you have enjoyed donuts and coffee, check out the bakery from the Auxiliary, the silent auction, Quilt Show and Boutique, Kids Quilt Project, and the Rural Rembrandts’ sale, along with an activity art table for kids. The silent auction inside the WWII Memorial includes donated items, including golf for four at Two Oaks, Brewer Tickets, and so much more! The Silent Auction ends at 3 p.m. with all proceeds donated to the Waushara County Food Pantry.
The Library/WWII Memorial parking lots will feature Music throughout the day by Kaydee Music, free Cattails Petting Zoo, amazing free Face Painting by Dala, free fun balloon sculptures created by Dizzy D the Balloon Twister, a flag and raffle set up by the American Legion, a book and bake sale sponsored by Friends of the Library, Melvin the Moo Truck Ice Cream from Flyte’s Family Farm, Duck Race Tickets, food and refreshments, there are over 30 Crafters/Artisans, Food Trucks and a Bike Raffle with 25 bikes to be given away. The bike raffle is sponsored by Wautoma Kiwanis, Wautoma Rotary, and Bowdie Severns.
Enjoy food, fun, and refreshments throughout the day from many food vendors. This year the Royal Arch Masons will be selling some delicious homegrown sweet corn.

The drawing for the bikes will be held at 2:30 p.m., followed by the Duck Race. This year, the Dizzy D the Balloon Twister will be delighting kids with fun balloon sculptures till 4 p.m.
A new event this year is a tour of the Natural Gardens throughout the day, hosted by Waushara Gardeners, adjacent to the Wautoma Library. Watch for signs and enjoy a guided tour; the Gardeners will identify plants and answer questions.
At 3 p.m., there will be the annual Duck Race down the White River sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. Be sure to purchase your tickets at Augustfest, and your duck may bring you a cash prize, gift certificate, etc.
Augustfest 2025 has something for all ages and is sponsored by Wautoma Main Street, Bowdie Severns, City of Wautoma, and The Knights of Columbus.
