Accidents reported in Waushara County

2/9/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:48 a.m. on CTHV northbound in the Town of Coloma. Elijah Klawitter, Oxford, hit icy road conditions and lost control, which resulted in a rollover with minor injuries.

3/14/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 9:40 p.m. on STH73 southbound in the Town of Oasis. Jonathan Groling, Plainfield, attempted to negotiate a right-hand turn on icy, snowy roads. The vehicle spun around, crossing the centerline and went into the ditch and rolled over, coming to rest on the driver’s side.

3/16/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 3:37 a.m. on STH21 eastbound in the Town of Marion. Amy Lehman, Wautoma, was eastbound on completely snow-covered roadway. Vehicle began to enter the ditch and struck a road sign.

3/16/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 11 a.m. in a parking lot in the Village of Coloma. Fritzner Menelas, Springfield GDNS, NY, was looking to ark in semi-truck parking. Semi got stuck due to icy/snow covered parking lot. Menelas thought he could go through drive-thru lane of A&W to make it through. He proceeded through the drive-thru and struck the menu sign and order box. He then proceeded through drive-thru and struck a concrete cinder block where he got stuck and came to rest.

3/17/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 6:46 a.m. on IH39 northbound in the Town of Coloma. Otoniel Zeledon, Madison, hit snow and ice, lost control, spun out, and struck a snow-filled ditch. Vehicle came to rest facing southeast along the roadway. Zeledon did not have insurance.

3/17/2026: A two-vehicle accident was reported at 3:19 p.m. on STH21 eastbound in the Town of Warren. Aaron Sekey, Redgranite, braked to slow for traffic to the front. A non-contact pickup truck/witness was turning left on 29th Lane. Sekey was on dry pavement and when braking was on ice/slush/snow/wet roadway, then lost control, yawed to the left, crossing centerline and correcting to the right. The vehicle struck Sherri Lussenden, Wautoma, on STH21. Witness stated he saw the incident occur in his rearview mirror. As he had been in a crash years ago, so hi is always cautious to check to his rear. Sekey stated he saw the non-contact truck flash his brakes and turn signal to turn and braked, was sideways on slush, and turned back to avoid a head-on collision or a t-bone with the black truck (Lussenden).
