Wild Rose Wildcat Ty Butzin successfully made contact with the ball during the sixth inning of the Wild Rose home game against Gresham on May 7. The Wildcats went on to win 9-1.

Wildcats shut down Gresham

The Wild Rose Wildcats rounded up a 9-1 victory over the Gresham Wildcats during the May 7 home game against their Central Wisconsin Conference-10 rivals. 

There were plenty of hits in the game, with Gresham getting 1 hit in the first inning. The Wildcats were unable to get hits with their first at bats, ending the inning with 1 hit by Schuyler Waller.

The second inning saw a Gresham single, while a teammate picked up a walk. Wild Rose was able to come up with 2 runs in the inning as Jacob Pettit got on base with a single and Lucas Hackney a triple. One batter was walked, while another was hit with a pitch.

The visitors managed a walk in the third inning, while the hosts had hits from Aaron VandeCastle and Brody Calnin.
