Wildcats dominate in win against Tigerton, 69-26

he Wild Rose Wildcats toppled the Tigerton Tigers with a crushing 69-26 blow in boys’ basketball action Feb. 5.

“It was nice to get a win like this,” said Head Coach Jim Komp. “Everyone got a lot of meaningful playing time. Aaron VandeCastle really got us going tonight with 5 three-pointers in the first half to spark us, and we were able to continue going into the second half. Hopefully this will keep us going and help us finish the season strong.”

The Wildcats shot out front in the first quarter of play with four scorers led by junior Tanner Hudziak’s 10 points, which started out with 2 three-point shots. Alec VandeCastle, a freshman, got his first 2 three-pointers in the period and was followed by his senior brother Aaron with 5 points. Evan Erickson rounded off Wild Rose’s scoring in the period with 4 points for a total of 25. The visiting Tigers were held to just 3 points the entire period.
