Wautoma’s Lucas Dutcher scrambles away from the Adam-Friendship defense in the Hornets’ 42-6 loss to the Green Devils on Sept. 16.

Wautoma loses to Adams-Friendship

On Friday, Sept. 16, the Hornets started conference play taking on the 10th ranked Green Devils from Adams-Friendship.

As was the case for the entire game, turnovers hurt Wautoma early and often. The Hornets had an interception and fumble in their first three plays from scrimmage giving Adams-Friendship great field position which they turned to 13 first half points.

Wautoma started the second half with the ball and went to work driving down the field with hard runs by Cade Peterson who scored an apparent touchdown that ended up being called back due to a penalty. Peterson ran 5 times for 49 yards. Matthew Kroll added 7 carries for 36 yards.
