Wautoma falls to Berlin, 17-3

The Wautoma baseball team opened their season at home against the Berlin Indians on March 28. With the Hornets giving up one run in each of the first two inning, the Indians would take a substantial lead in the bottom of the second earning 8 runs, to Wautoma’s 2.

Wautoma would only score one more time in the top of the fifth inning, while Berlin would add another 2 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and 5 more runs in the seventh inning to head home with the 17-3 non-conference win.

Leading hitters included: Brady Stahl, 2-4; Zach Weiss, 3-3, 2 doubles, 1 RBI; Will Eagan, 2-4, 2 RBI’s; Matt Maciaga, 1-2; Teagan Sanders, 1-4; Dustin Farrar, 1-2; Conor Vanden Boomen, 1-1.
