Wautoma/Wild Rose Warrior Marcus Kasuboski puts Westfield’s Jacob Wasson in a hold during the semifinal round of the South Central Conference Tournament at Wautoma High School Feb. 7. Kasuboski took 1st place in the 160 lbs. weight division at the conference tournament and earned 24 points for the Warriors.

Warriors place 2nd at SCC Tournament

he Wautoma/Wild Rose Warriors held the South Central Conference Championship wrestling tournament Feb. 7 at Wautoma High School. The Warriors took second place with a total of 195.0 points behind Westfield with 204 points.

Following the Warriors were: Nekoosa/Port Edwards, 186 points; Mauston, 160.5 points; Adams-Friendship, 128.5 points; and Wisconsin Dells, 113.5 points. 

Four Warrior wrestlers took home 1st place at the SCC Conference Tournament, including Marcus Kasuboski, 160 lbs.; Cody Martin, 170 lbs.; Taylor Rivers, 182 lbs.; Joel Gonzalez, 195 lbs. 

Taking home second place were: Tanner Deist, 120 lbs; Timothy Lauersdorf, 132 lbs., and 3rd place was received by Jesse Schauer, 220 lbs.
