Hornets defeat Adams-Friendship, 66-57

Wautoma’s Lois tallies 31 points in win

The Wautoma boys basketball team opened their South Central Conference season with a big 66-57 win over the Adams-Friendship Green Devils at home on Dec. 1.

As Wautoma took to the floor, the Green Devils would take the early lead, but with help from Ryan Lois’s consistent shooting as well as double digit scores from junior Alex Hendrickson and sophomore Dante Borland, the Hornets would take control in the second half and never look back.

Down by 3 points at the half, the Hornets would rally to outscore the Green Devils 43-31 in the second. With Lois’s 16 points and 4 for 4 from the free throw line as well as Hendrickson’s two 3-pointers and connecting 6 for 6 from the line, Wautoma proved to be a challenge for the Green Devils.
