Eagles fall to Wildcats, 49-41

The Almond-Bancroft Eagles hosted the Wild Rose Wildcats in a CWC-10 conference matchup Feb. 13. Players from both teams put their all into the game and it showed as the Wildcats ended the game with a 49-41 win over the Eagles.

The first quarter started out close, with the Eagles and Wildcats alternating scoring. The Wildcats were able to pull away, ending the quarter with a 13-8 lead. 

The Eagles’ points came from Austin Bunders, 4 points, Reegan Anderson, 2 points, and Garret Yonke, 2 points. The Wildcats’ points came from Aaron VandeCastle, 5 points, Jarret Tietz, 3 points, Alec VandeCastle, 3 points, and Tanner Hudziak, 2 points.

The second quarter proved to be an even closer match up as the Eagles outscored the Wildcats, 15-12. Though the Eagles scored more points in the quarter, they were not able to pull ahead before the end of the half.
