Westfield School District to present “Masked Singer” competition

Subhead

Westfield School District proudly presents “Westfield’s Masked Singer” competition to premiere on Tuesday, March 9. This competition was made famous by the television show, The Masked Singer, where famous celebrities perform hit songs, all while wearing an elaborate disguise. These celebrities give hints to their true identities, and a studio audience votes for their favorite performance of the night. The celebrity who receives the least number of votes is “unmasked” and their true identity is revealed.

Westfield’s Masked Singer competition will feature seven amazing performers who are all employed by the Westfield School District. Their personas include: Mama Bear, Top Dog, Pioneer Pete, The Phoenix, Headless Horseman, The Leprechaun and Mother Goose. Over the coming weeks, new episodes will be released via YouTube, and at the end of these episodes, community members will be able to vote via a QR code and/or Google Form. All community members are encouraged to view these episodes and support their teachers and educational professionals in their district.

The first episode will premiere Tuesday, March 9 at 7 p.m. on the Westfield Area Choir Department’s YouTube channel. To find this video, type the following URL into any search engine: https://tinyurl.com/mdvwfz66 and click the button. The video will become available at 7 p.m. that night. You can view this video on your smartphone, tablet, laptop or smart TV. To vote, you will use your phone’s Camera app to scan a QR code, but a link to the Google Form will also be available in the video’s description. Voting will close on Friday, March 12, so make sure to have your voice heard.
