Robotics & Automation Camp hosted by FVTC and Wautoma School District

Subhead

Fox Valley Technical College and the Wautoma Area School District partnered to offer middle school students a four-day Robotics and Automation camp, July 26-29.

This camp was designed to engage students in different areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).  Students used basic engineering design process tools and methods, learned basic electronics and hand tools to fabricate, and used teamwork and collaboration with others students to complete tasks.

During the duration of the camp, students completed an automated greenhouse; a system which automatically watered a plant by sensing the moisture level in the soil.

Fox Valley Technical College looks forward to running more camps next summer, giving students hands-on experience in the world of automation.
