Wautoma/Wild Rose soccer team faces off in conference games

Subhead
The Wautoma/Wild Rose girls soccer team had a busy long travel week with two conference games. On May 9 the team travelled to Eau Claire to play Regis. Missing many players due to sickness and injury, there were some players playing positions they aren’t used to playing. The team played the best they could, but Regis was able to get a few goals in the first half. Abbi Zindars played in the goal with 10 saves. Emica Marquez got a non-goalie save.  On May 12 Wautoma/Wild Rose travelled to Arcadia to play in the rain. A good match-up between the teams kept both teams getting shots on goal. Arcadia was able to get one in the first half. Wautoma/Wild Rose had several shots taken by Emica Marquez, Laura Babcock, Lidia Thompson, Emma Nguyen and Charlee Kratz. There were several good attempts to get a goal but couldn’t get one past the goalie. Abbi Zindars had 10 saves for the game.
