Tri-County places third in Wautoma Invitational

The Tri-County cross country team participated in the Wautoma Invitational at Camp Lucerne on Sept. 20.

Jacob Bacon ran in the Boys’ Novice (varsity) race and had a time of 25 minutes 49.99 seconds.

Geraldine Perez ran in her first ever cross country meet, competed on junior varsity, and finished with a time of 34 minutes 10.89 seconds.

Zoriah Mills (26 minutes 12.51 seconds) Sarah Hicks (PR=26 minutes 19.97 seconds), Tessa Macik-Smith (31 minutes 14.21 seconds), Addison Peck (34 minutes 19.38 seconds), and Lilyana Stucker (37 minutes 19.38 seconds) competed in the girls’ novice race and scored third as a team in the novice race/division with 57 points behind second place Westfield (48 points) and first place Hortonville (15 points). Zoey was 15th out of the 41 runners and took home a medal. Sarah was 16th, which makes two of Tri-County’s girls in the top 20 runners in the novice race.
