Tri-County hosts double header games against Almond-Bancroft

The Tri-County Penguins hosted the Almond-Bancroft girls’ and boys’ basketball team during a double header on Dec. 16.

 

The Lady Penguins fell short to the Lady Eagles 50-28 during the first game of the night. Skye Hopkins put up 18 points on the board, making her the top scorer for the Lady Penguins. Courtney Hildebrandt added 5 points for Tri-County, followed by Sydney Kramer and Paige Makaryk with 2 points and Makenna Rettler with 1.

 

Lady Eagles’ top scorer was Lexie Dernbach with 14 points, followed closely by Aaliyah Newby with 12 points of her own. Raegen Omernik put 6 points on the board and Mya Dernbach and Jillian Newby each scored 5. Riya Beballos scored 3, and Madalyn Potts and Aubrey Phillips scored 2.

 

Almond-Bancroft’s boys’ basketball team went on to soar above the Penguins with a 92-22 victory.  Penguin’s top scorer Jairo Monry had 12 points on the board for Tri-County. Sam Raboin put 6 points on the board, followed by Luis Garcia and Luke Rasmussen with 2.

Ayden Phillips was able to score 22 points for Almond-Bancroft. TJ Lamb was able to put 16 points on the board, followed closely by Clarence Pratt and Xander Miner with 15 points each. Brody Dernbach put up 12 points, Dalton Omernick 6, and Shane Klismith and Emmitt Stiles each had 3.
