Lincoln Beyer makes podium at Warrior invite

The Westfield Pioneer wrestling team traveled to Waunakee to a tough warrior invitational tournament Dec. 10.

Lincoln Beyer placed second place at 106 lbs with four wins and one loss on the day, moving his season record to 7-2.

 

  Ty Monfries came up short from making the podium wrestling five tough matches going 3-2 at 285 lbs. Monfries record stand at 6-2 on the season.

Waunakee Warrior Invite Results for Westfield Area:

106 lbs - Lincoln Beyer (7-2) placed 2nd and scored 37.5 team points.

106 lbs: Jacob Zanotti (4-5) placed 5th.

113 lbs - Hunter Peschel (3-4) placed 9th and scored 16.5 team points.

120 lbs - Josh Anderson (0-7) placed 6th and scored 17.0 team points.

126 lbs: Ruebon Hall (4-4) placed 9th and scored 14.5 team points.

132 lbs: Cooper Dunnett (1-6) placed 7th and scored 13.5 team points.

138 lbs: Skilar Johnson (1-4) placed 15th and scored 2.0 team points.

152 lbs: Hugo Johnson (1-6) placed 16th and scored 3.0 team points.

160 lbs: Zander Sobczack (2-5) placed 15th and scored 6.0 team points.

195 lbs - Larson Henschel (0-7) placed 10th and scored 8.5 team points.

220 lbs: Stephan Foster (4-5) placed 8th and scored 15.5 team points.

285 lbs - Ty Monfries (6-2) placed 4th and scored 24.5 team points.

 

The Pioneers will be hosting a quad Thursday, Dec. 15th. Wrestling starts at 5:30 p.m. The team will then be traveling to The Alliant Energy Center on Saturday, Dec. 17th to The Badger Invite.
