The Lady Penguins went 2-1 on Oct. 1, defeating Portage 25-14, 25-19, defeating Princeton Green Lake 25-13 and 25-10, and losing to Evansville in a tight match 22-25 and 22-25.
The Lady Penguins took second place in the tournament. They are now 22-3 on the season and 4-0 in conference.
Stats from Saturday’s tournament are Braelyn Pionke 18 kills, 9 blocks, 19 digs. Cali Eastling had 17 kills, 7 blocks, and 9 digs. Karissa Rettler had 8 aces, 11 kills, 25 assists, 29 digs. Makenna Rettler had 9 kills, 21 assists, and 26 digs. Courtney Bauck and Haley Ellis each served 100% on the day and the team continued to have a great day serving at 94.3%.
The Lady Penguins will be traveling to Gresham for a non-conference match on Oct. 6.
