Subhead

The Lady Hornets faced off against Amherst during the Regional Playoff game on Oct. 22. Wautoma won in three sets against the number three seed Amherst.

The scores were 25 – 16, 25 – 21, and 25 – 14. The game was a big win for the Lady Hornets, who went on to face Nekoosa during their Regional Championship game on Oct. 24.

When speaking with Coach Tynae Phillips, she expressed the pride she had in her Lady Hornets.

“My girls are entering this post season with a hunger in their eyes for success. They have been challenged to stay focused and work hard in practice, so they can execute come game time. Last night they stepped on the court and did just that. We had a stand out performances from Senior Captain Hattie Bray with 22 kills on the match and 10 digs. She used her court awareness to have an effective night on offense and stayed disciplined on defense to protect our court. Ultimately, the Hornets showed up, played their game, and got the job done. I’m proud of their success and excited to see what they can do in this post season,” quotes Coach Phillips.
