Salvation Army volunteer appreciates community’s Red Kettle support

To the Editor:

Looking at the 2014 recap of the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, we used phrases like “The Best Ever” and “Generosity Way Above Average.” Well folks, we don’t want to sound redundant, but the 2015 Campaign was “The Best Ever,” and, that is due only to the “Above Average Generosity” of our local citizens, and perhaps some visitors to this county.

This year, we raised over $35,000 in contributions from Waushara County.

Why? How?

First, it is the caring attitude of our generous population, giving in anticipation of the “good works” and the “needs of others.”

Second, it is the many volunteers, (individuals and so many organizations) that set about lending time and effort towards the means in-which to gather/collect from our generous givers

And, third, we have a county-wide involvement of businesses, wherein some businesses hosts bell ringers, some businesses have counter kettles, some businesses collect dollars at the registers (added to purchase), and some businesses match funds collected by bell ringers on-site.

We appreciate all who helped in each and every way, and know that you are Blessed in “Doing The Most Good”
